Role Overview
As a Credit Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of new and existing clients. You will utilize your expertise in financial modeling and data analysis to mitigate risk and support the company’s growth objectives. This role offers the chance to work closely with senior leadership and directly impact financial stability.
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and business performance metrics to assess client risk profiles.
- Determine appropriate credit limits and terms for new and existing accounts based on established policies.
- Prepare and present detailed credit risk reports to the credit committee.
- Monitor account portfolios for early signs of financial distress or delinquency.
- Collaborate with the sales team to resolve complex credit issues and facilitate deal closures.
- Develop and maintain internal credit policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Conduct industry research to stay updated on market trends affecting credit risk.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, risk assessment, or financial reporting.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
