Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare comprehensive credit recommendations and risk mitigation strategies for senior leadership
- Monitor existing credit portfolios and identify early warning signs of potential default
- Develop and maintain automated credit scoring models using advanced Excel and financial software
- Collaborate with commercial banking teams to structure optimal financing solutions
- Stay current with regulatory changes (FCRA, Dodd-Frank) and implement compliance protocols
- Present credit analysis findings to credit committees with clear data-driven recommendations
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis experience in banking or financial services
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling (DCF, LBO) and Excel/VBA
- Credit certification (CRCM, CCE) or willingness to obtain within 6 months
- Exceptional analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication abilities to articulate complex financial concepts
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in deadline-driven environments
- Experience with credit databases (Equifax, Moody's Analytics) and risk management software
