Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth financial analysis of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to evaluate the credit risk of potential borrowers.
- Prepare and maintain accurate credit memos, financial analysis spreadsheets, and credit applications for internal review.
- Monitor and review existing accounts to identify early warning signs of financial distress or changing credit conditions.
- Assist in the development and implementation of credit policies and underwriting guidelines to align with company objectives.
- Collaborate with relationship managers and loan officers to provide expert advice on credit extensions and restructuring options.
- Prepare regular reports for senior management regarding portfolio risk trends and credit quality metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 1-3 years of experience in credit analysis, commercial lending, or financial risk assessment.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros) and credit scoring software.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and draw actionable conclusions.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present findings to diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
