Responsibilities
- Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and market trends to assess borrower risk profiles
- Prepare detailed credit memos and risk assessment reports for portfolio review committees
- Monitor existing credit portfolios for compliance and early risk identification
- Collaborate with lending teams to structure optimal credit solutions for commercial clients
- Stay current on industry regulations and compliance requirements (FHA, SBA, etc.)
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
- Contribute to process improvements in credit evaluation workflows
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 3+ years of commercial credit analysis or underwriting experience
- Proficiency in financial modeling software (e.g., Moody's Analytics, CreditEdge)
- Advanced Excel skills with experience in financial forecasting and ratio analysis
- Strong understanding of cash flow analysis and collateral valuation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional certification (CFA, CRCM) preferred
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
