Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including SEC, FINRA, and state securities laws.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Develop, implement, and update company policies and procedures to align with industry best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to staff members on regulatory requirements and compliance protocols.
- Prepare detailed reports for executive leadership and external regulatory bodies regarding compliance status.
- Investigate and resolve internal complaints or allegations of policy violations.
- Stay current with changes in legislation and industry trends to ensure the organization remains compliant.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional certification (e.g., CFP, CRPC, CFA, or Compliance Certification) is a strong plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management within the financial services industry.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a cross-functional team.
