Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure full compliance within the organization.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities in compliance processes.
- Develop and implement compliance policies, procedures, and training programs for employees.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of compliance activities, audits, and corrective actions.
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors during inspections.
- Investigate any alleged violations of company policy or regulatory standards and recommend appropriate disciplinary actions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging regulations to advise leadership on strategic impacts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, AML/KYC) applicable to the industry.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulations and translate them into actionable policies.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines under pressure.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Professional certifications such as CFE, CCE, or CRCM are a significant plus.
