Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and interpret changing laws, regulations, and industry standards to ensure organizational alignment.
- Develop, implement, and maintain effective compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Investigate reported violations or breaches of policy and recommend appropriate remedial actions.
- Train employees and management on regulatory requirements and ethical business practices.
- Liaise with external regulatory bodies and legal counsel to resolve compliance issues.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports regarding compliance activities and audit results.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing.
- Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations, including SOX, HIPAA, or industry-specific standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting.
- Certification such as CRCM, CFE, or JD is highly desirable.
