Responsibilities
- Monitor and ensure adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps.
- Develop, implement, and update internal compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
- Investigate potential violations of laws, rules, or regulations and recommend corrective actions.
- Train staff on compliance requirements, regulatory changes, and internal policies.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to governing bodies in a timely manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field is required.
- 3+ years of experience in compliance, auditing, or regulatory affairs within the financial services industry.
- Strong working knowledge of banking regulations (e.g., BSA/AML, OCC, FDIC) is highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory information clearly to all levels of the organization.
