Responsibilities
- Conduct Internal Audits: Perform regular reviews of company policies and procedures to ensure full compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay abreast of changes in industry laws (e.g., SOX, HIPAA) and implement necessary adjustments to organizational processes.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Training & Education: Conduct training sessions for employees to ensure they understand compliance requirements and ethical standards.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed reports for management and external regulators regarding audit findings and corrective actions.
- Investigation: Investigate internal complaints or violations and recommend disciplinary actions when necessary.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Law, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in compliance, auditing, or risk management.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards applicable to the industry.
- Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills for training and reporting.
- Software: Proficiency in compliance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
