Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online
- Process accounts payable/receivable transactions weekly
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly
- Prepare financial reports (P&L, balance sheets) for clients
- Manage payroll processing for small businesses
- Assist with month-end closing procedures
- Communicate financial insights to business owners
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to meet weekly deadlines consistently
- Basic understanding of sales tax compliance (VA)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
