As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial reporting and managing key accounts.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
- Manage the general ledger, ensuring all journal entries are accurate and posted in a timely manner.
- Perform month-end and year-end close procedures and reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and intercompany accounts.
- Assist in the preparation of federal, state, and local tax returns and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Conduct internal audits to identify discrepancies and recommend process improvements.
- Collaborate with management to develop and monitor the annual budget and financial forecasts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration required.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in general accounting, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
- CPA certification is highly preferred; CMA certification is a plus.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero) and advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders.
