Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
- Assist with payroll processing, including calculating hours, deductions, and issuing paychecks.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly.
- Manage client filing systems, both physical and digital, ensuring organized records.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and tax filings.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or Xero accounting software is mandatory.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
