Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions.
- Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure data accuracy.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss reports for management review.
- Payroll Administration: Assist in processing payroll and managing employee time records (experience with Gusto or ADP is a plus).
- General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are accurate and timely.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial practices comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online (Xero or Sage also acceptable).
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients and team members.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a remote work environment.
