Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process payroll and handle tax filings accurately and on time.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures.
- Perform financial reporting and provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial laws.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant field; CPA preferred.
