Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payments and accurate invoicing.
- Perform bank reconciliations and prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet and P&L).
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using QuickBooks or Xero.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings as required.
- Reconcile credit card statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Process payroll and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist the Finance Manager with ad-hoc reporting and budget analysis.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
