Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process weekly payroll for multiple clients, ensuring accurate tax withholdings and deductions.
- Prepare and send monthly invoices, and follow up on outstanding accounts receivable.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and monthly/quarterly reports.
- Maintain accurate filing systems for both digital and physical documents.
- Process accounts payable, including vendor payments and expense tracking.
- Assist with year-end tax preparation and 1099 filings.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex financial data to non-financial staff.
