Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements.
- Process and verify weekly payroll for multiple clients with 100% accuracy.
- Prepare and maintain general ledgers, balance sheets, and income statements.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
- Ensure all financial records are up-to-date and compliant with federal and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding account inquiries and financial status.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Deep understanding of GAAP and basic tax preparation concepts.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
