Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping operations, including journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor payments.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT returns and monthly management accounts.
- Maintain and update client records using Xero and QuickBooks software.
- Prepare monthly payroll reports and assist with year-end accounts preparation.
Qualifications
- Relevant accounting qualification (AAT Level 3/4, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper within the UK market.
- Proficiency in cloud-based accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage).
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data formatting.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with clients and colleagues.
