Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-day bookkeeping operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Perform accurate bank and credit card reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll and ensure all weekly payments are distributed correctly and on time.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, adjusting entries, and monthly financial statements.
- Assist with the preparation of annual tax documents and year-end audits.
- Monitor and manage petty cash and expense reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients and vendors regarding billing inquiries.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of hands-on experience in bookkeeping or a related accounting role.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; Sage experience is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
