We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our finance department in Baltimore, Texas. This is a Direct Hire position offering a competitive hourly rate and the security of a Weekly Pay schedule. We are looking for a proactive professional who excels at accuracy and organization.
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting the growth of our local business operations.
Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure accuracy.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in processing payroll and maintaining accurate payroll records.
- Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger system and ensure all entries are up-to-date.
- Compliance: Support the preparation of quarterly and annual tax filings and audits.
- Vendor Management: Process invoices, verify expenses, and manage vendor relationships.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
- Software: Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is essential.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to spot errors and maintain data accuracy.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact with clients and team members.
- Integrity: High ethical standards and the ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
