Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Process weekly payroll for employees with high accuracy and adherence to state and federal regulations.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure all discrepancies are resolved.
- Prepare and send invoices to clients, ensuring timely collection.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of tax documents and financial reports for auditors.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their financial status and queries.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficient in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) is essential.
- Experience with payroll processing and tax preparation is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
