Responsibilities
- Accounts Management: Accurately process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are paid on time and invoices are collected promptly.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly and weekly bank reconciliations to ensure all financial records match bank statements.
- Payroll Processing: Manage and process weekly payroll for the weekend operations team, including tax calculations and deductions.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Compliance & Auditing: Assist in the preparation of year-end tax documents and ensure all financial practices comply with GAAP and local regulations.
- Software Maintenance: Update and maintain the company’s financial software (QuickBooks/Xero) with current data.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably with a focus on weekend shifts.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect and correct errors quickly.
- Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting and client interaction.
- Availability: Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a consistent basis.
