Responsibilities
- Assist with Daily Bookkeeping: Perform accurate data entry and maintain updated financial ledgers for small to medium-sized business clients.
- Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure all transactions are accounted for and accurate.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, track payments, and manage accounts receivable aging reports under supervision.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Record Keeping: Organize and maintain digital and physical filing systems in compliance with accounting standards.
- Payroll Support: Assist the senior accountant with basic payroll processing tasks.
- Client Communication: Communicate with clients regarding account status and invoices in a professional manner.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is a plus.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is highly preferred).
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain precision in numerical data.
- Organization Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workflow effectively.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Punctual and dependable attendance is mandatory.
- Willingness to Learn: A positive attitude and eagerness to learn new accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero).
