Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable with meticulous attention to detail
- Prepare financial statements (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow) for client reviews
- Manage payroll processing and tax compliance for small businesses
- Oversee month-end closing procedures and journal entries
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting systems for clients
- Provide financial analysis and budget support to business owners
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and IRS regulations
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
- Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
- Proven track record of managing multi-client accounting portfolios
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, payroll taxes, and sales tax compliance
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in fast-paced settings
- Excellent communication skills for client financial reporting
