Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Process and record daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Monthly bank and credit card reconciliation to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Reporting: Prepare and generate financial statements, balance sheets, and profit & loss reports.
- Payroll Support: Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely tax payments and filings.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) to maintain client ledgers.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities adhere to GAAP standards and company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Technical Skills: Proficient in QuickBooks Online or Xero; advanced Excel skills are a plus.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot errors and maintain high standards of accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Reliability: Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
