In this role, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy in our books, and providing critical insights to our management team.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries and journal entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing trial balances.
- Prepare and distribute financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with payroll processing and tax document preparation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel (advanced functions).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
