Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process and categorize accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately and timely.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and financial reports for clients.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including preparing adjusting entries.
- Perform bank reconciliations and identify discrepancies for resolution.
- Assist with the preparation of financial statements and tax documentation.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with clients professionally.
