Job Overview:
In this role, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy in all financial records and reporting. You will work closely with clients to streamline their bookkeeping processes and provide valuable insights into their financial health.
Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
- Process payroll accurately and on time for employees, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports, balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
- Maintain and organize financial records and documents, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external audits.
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end financial statements and support the audit process.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of professional experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) is required.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct errors efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
