Responsibilities
- Manage Daily Transactions: Accurately process and record daily financial entries, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to ensure data integrity.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and statements.
- Payroll Administration: Process payroll for multiple entities, ensuring tax filings and compliance with local and federal regulations.
- General Ledger: Maintain the general ledger system, ensuring all entries are classified correctly and supported by documentation.
- Client Communication: Interact with clients to answer inquiries regarding their financial status and provide timely updates.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting practices adhere to GAAP and internal company policies.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Software Proficiency: Expert level proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage 50; advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) required.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience.
- Certification: Bookkeeping or CPA designation preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to spot discrepancies and ensure 100% accuracy in data entry.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
