As a Bookkeeper, you will be the backbone of our financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while managing complex financial records.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and credit card statement reviews.
- Process payroll accurately and on schedule for all employees.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns and local state taxes.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Assist the Senior Accountant with the month-end and year-end closing process.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks (Desktop or Online) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reporting.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
