Responsibilities
- General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage payments, and issue invoices to clients efficiently.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll functions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and timely distribution of wages.
- Compliance & Audits: Maintain organized financial records and prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize business expenses to ensure budget adherence.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role (2+ years preferred).
- Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage; advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and ability to spot discrepancies in financial data.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with stakeholders.
- Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
