Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle of bookkeeping operations, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Process payroll for multiple clients using [Software Name], ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Prepare and generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for clients and management review.
- Assist in the preparation of year-end tax packages and support the tax team during busy season.
- Maintain and organize digital and physical filing systems for all client records.
- Communicate effectively with clients to address billing inquiries and financial discrepancies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience, preferably with a mix of clients.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is essential; experience with NetSuite is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
- Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data entry and reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and general accounting workflows.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines in a remote or hybrid setting.
- Must possess a valid professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, or EA) or be actively pursuing one.
