Responsibilities
- Manage Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage vendor relations, and ensure timely payment of all liabilities.
- Bank Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records and identify discrepancies.
- Payroll Processing: Assist in the weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for management review.
- General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger and ensure all journal entries are recorded accurately and on time.
- Compliance & Documentation: Organize and maintain financial documents, ensuring full compliance with company policies and GAAP standards.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping or accounting experience.
- Software Proficiency: Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online or Xero is required; experience with Sage or NetSuite is a plus.
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; high school diploma with relevant certification (e.g., NACPB) is acceptable.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy when handling numbers, data entry, and financial reporting.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to non-financial team members.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) is mandatory.
