Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and reconcile bank statements monthly
- Process accounts payable/receivable and manage vendor/client communications
- Prepare financial statements (balance sheets, income statements) and month-end reports
- Handle payroll processing and tax filings for 50+ employees
- Implement and optimize QuickBooks accounting systems
- Assist with audits and ensure compliance with GAAP
- Support budget forecasting and variance analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of bookkeeping experience with QuickBooks Pro/Premier
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and tax regulations
- Attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies
- Professional communication skills for client/vendor interactions
- Ability to manage deadlines in fast-paced environment
