Responsibilities
- Account Management: Maintain accurate general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and on time.
- Reconciliation: Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card statements to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Invoicing & Collections: Process invoices, manage accounts receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and generate monthly financial reports, including profit & loss statements and balance sheets.
- Payroll Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll for small to medium-sized business clients.
- Compliance: Stay updated on changing tax laws and ensure all client records remain compliant.
- Software Proficiency: Utilize cloud-based accounting software (QuickBooks Online, Xero, or Sage) to streamline financial workflows.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or Accountant, with a minimum of 2 years in the field.
- Software Skills: Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Education: Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure data integrity.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients and vendors.
- Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
