Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle bookkeeping process, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliation.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Process payroll for employees with high attention to tax compliance and statutory regulations.
- Prepare and maintain financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow analysis.
- Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual tax returns under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Utilize accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) to input financial data and generate necessary reports.
Qualifications
- Associate degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Certified Bookkeeper (CB) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software, specifically QuickBooks Online, with strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and federal tax regulations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
