Responsibilities
- Manage and reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring all invoices are paid and invoices are collected in a timely manner.
- Maintain the general ledger and prepare monthly financial reports for management review.
- Assist with payroll processing, ensuring all tax filings and employee deductions are calculated correctly.
- Organize and maintain financial records, including receipts, invoices, and contracts, for audit purposes.
- Assist in the preparation of annual tax returns and other financial compliance documentation.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, vlookups).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
