Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and on a timely basis.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all invoices are paid and payments are collected promptly.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts on a monthly basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Prepare and generate financial reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close procedures, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Assist with the annual audit process by providing necessary documentation and schedules.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems for all financial documents.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience accepted.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar accounting role.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage) and MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
- Strong understanding of GAAP and basic accounting principles.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to spot errors quickly.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
