Responsibilities
- Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring all entries are accurate and timely.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts monthly to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
- Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management review and client presentations.
- Process payroll for employees, ensuring all tax filings and compliance requirements are met accurately.
- Monitor and maintain fixed asset registers, tracking depreciation schedules and ensuring proper record-keeping.
- Collaborate with team members to support month-end and year-end close processes.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to detect errors and ensure data integrity.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced, multi-project environment.
