Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims to government and private payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies and denials through effective communication with insurance companies
- Manage patient account balances, including payment plans and collections
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and billing regulations
- Generate monthly billing reports and analyze key performance metrics
- Collaborate with clinical teams to verify coding and documentation accuracy
- Maintain organized billing records and electronic health system data
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with insurance claim submission
- Proficiency in Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR billing modules
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding
- Experience with denial management and appeals processes
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail
