In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial health of our clients by managing the billing process from start to finish. You will act as the bridge between our clients and insurance payers, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reimbursement.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and submit accurate medical insurance claims (CMS-1500) to insurance carriers in a timely manner.
- Review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements and patient billing statements to identify discrepancies.
- Follow up on denied, delayed, or underpaid claims to ensure maximum reimbursement.
- Reconcile daily and monthly billing reports to maintain accurate financial records.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding outstanding balances, payment plans, and account status.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and internal company policies.
- Assist in the month-end close process and financial reporting as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, claims processing, or revenue cycle management.
- Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical billing software (e.g., AthenaHealth, Epic, Cerner).
- Strong working knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
