Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing cycles including invoicing, payment processing, and collections
- Reconcile accounts receivable and resolve discrepancies with precision
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to verify insurance coverage and eligibility
- Generate monthly financial reports and analyze billing trends
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Train staff on billing processes and system updates
- Optimize billing workflows for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's preferred)
- 3+ years of billing experience in healthcare or medical practice
- Proficiency in Epic, Medisoft, or similar billing software
- Advanced Excel skills with data analysis capabilities
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) or equivalent certification
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities for client and stakeholder interactions
- Experience with insurance claim processing and denials management
