Responsibilities
- Process and post patient and client invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Review and verify insurance claims for errors before submission to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Reconcile monthly billing statements and resolve any outstanding discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients and insurance carriers to resolve billing questions and denials.
- Update and maintain accurate billing records and patient information in our CRM system.
- Analyze financial reports to identify trends and areas for process improvement.
- Assist with month-end close procedures and financial reporting.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical or revenue cycle billing.
- Proficiency in medical billing software (e.g., Epic, Cerner, AthenaHealth) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of ICD-10 and CPT coding guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to detect errors in complex data.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction.
- Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
