Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end revenue cycle processes including charge entry, claim submission, and payment posting
- Resolve complex billing discrepancies and insurance denials with 95% first-pass resolution rate
- Conduct monthly audits to ensure compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document services accurately for optimal reimbursement
- Generate monthly financial reports for executive leadership and department heads
- Train staff on billing system updates and process improvements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of medical billing experience with RCM systems (Epic or Cerner preferred)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Coding Associate (CCA) credential
- Expert knowledge of NY Medicaid/Medicare billing guidelines and UB-04 forms
- Advanced proficiency in Excel with VLOOKUP and pivot table functions
- Proven ability to reduce A/R days by 20% through strategic follow-up
