Responsibilities
- Process and submit accurate insurance claims and patient invoices
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account receivables
- Utilize Epic EHR and Medisoft systems for charge entry
- Conduct insurance verification and pre-authorizations
- Generate monthly billing reports and financial statements
- Collaborate with collections team on overdue accounts
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and billing regulations
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience
- Proficiency in EHR/EMR systems (Epic preferred)
- Certified Billing Specialist (CBS) credentials required
- Strong knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP functions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced healthcare environment
