Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end medical billing processes including charge entry, claim submission, and follow-up
- Resolve insurance denials through meticulous analysis and appeals documentation
- Verify patient demographics and insurance coverage for accuracy
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and resolve payment discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer-specific regulations
- Collaborate with clinical teams to clarify coding documentation
- Generate monthly billing reports for financial analysis
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in healthcare or insurance
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes and ICD-10-CM
- Proficient in Epic, Athenahealth, or similar EHR systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Exceptional communication for patient and insurer interactions
- Experience with Medicare/Medicaid and commercial payers
