Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Manage accounts receivable follow-up and resolve billing discrepancies
- Generate monthly financial reports and analyze denial trends
- Collaborate with clinical teams to ensure accurate charge capture
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, CMS, and payer regulations
- Train staff on billing processes and system updates
- Optimize billing workflows to improve collection efficiency
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Expertise in CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding systems
- Proficiency with Epic or NextGen EHR/RCM platforms
- Certified Billing and Coding Specialist (CBCS) preferred
- Advanced Excel skills with VLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Exceptional problem-solving and communication abilities
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial payer policies
- Ability to maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment
