Responsibilities
- Process and submit insurance claims with 95%+ accuracy across multiple payers
- Resolve billing discrepancies through direct communication with patients and insurers
- Manage accounts receivable with monthly aging reports and collection strategies
- Update and maintain patient billing records in Epic EMR system
- Conduct audits to ensure HIPAA compliance and coding accuracy
- Train staff on billing processes and policy updates
- Generate monthly financial reports for department leadership
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience with commercial and government payers
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification required
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic Resolute or similar EMR platforms
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities
