Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end billing processes including invoice generation, verification, and distribution
- Resolve billing discrepancies and account adjustments through detailed research and documentation
- Collaborate with collections team to optimize accounts receivable aging
- Ensure compliance with healthcare billing regulations (HIPAA, CMS) and internal policies
- Process insurance claims and maintain electronic health records (EHR) accuracy
- Generate monthly billing reports and financial performance metrics
- Train staff on billing procedures and system updates
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical or professional billing experience
- Proficiency in billing software (Epic, Cerner, or similar EHR systems)
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Medical Billing and Coding (CBCS) credential preferred
- Expert knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding and claim submission processes
- Strong analytical skills with attention to numerical accuracy
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Associate degree in healthcare administration, finance, or related field
