Responsibilities
- Process and submit clean claims to insurance payers with 95%+ accuracy
- Resolve claim denials and discrepancies through timely follow-up
- Verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to service delivery
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and billing guidelines
- Reconcile accounts receivable reports and aging reports weekly
- Collaborate with clinical teams to document chargeable services
- Train staff on billing processes and documentation requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare setting
- Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or CPC certification preferred
- Expertise in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems
- Advanced proficiency in Epic or similar EHR billing modules
- Strong analytical skills with attention to financial details
- Experience with Medicaid/Medicare and commercial payers
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
